It’s Necessary to STOP Violence: Kofi Anan

Un special envoy Kofi Anan announced about signing a contract to stop violence between him and President of Syria Bashar Asad, which will also be presented to the opposition of the country.
“We have come to the conclusion that it’s necessary to stop violence and search for ways to reach that goal”, stated Anan describing that the negotiations with Syrian leader in Damask were “constructive and sincere”.
According to the UN representative he will inform about the issue on armed groups of opposition discussed with Asad.
