Today Elmar Mamedyarov- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan , on the joint press conference with OCSE Secretary General Lamberto Zanier in Baku, has particularly mentioned: “If Armenian Armed Forces are withdrawn from the occupied territories, then there’ll be neither a problem with snipers, nor with armed incidents.” In response to this announcement RA NA vice president Edward Sharmazanov said:
“Mr. Mamedyarov, typical to Azeri authorities, continuously distorts the reality. And the reality is the following: as long as Azerbaijan continues to keep certain territories (Getashen, Martunashen, Shahumyan) of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabagh occupied and regularly opens up fire with snipers towards peaceful residents, including the kindergarten, the whole responsibility of the absence of serious progress in the peaceful resolution process falls on the Azeri side. Therefore, no need to look for a black cat in a dark room when the cat is on your shoulders.”
