Harsnaqar Incident is Neither the First nor the Last Crime of Ruben Hayrapetyan: Zaruhi Hovhannisyan

Lurer.com’s interlocutor is a publicist, member of the initiative “We demand to punish all the culprits of Harsnaqar incident” Zaruhi Hovhannisyan.

-The efforts to gather 44 signatures to convene an extraordinary session failed. In your opinion what should the next step be?
-First of all I’ll try to evaluate the initiative, which wasn’t brought to life by NA.
It’s clear to me that the NA MPs which didn’t support by their signatures for the public demand to convene an extraordinary session should explain this. I don’t separate either a coalition member or an independent. Also, taking into account the fact that NA was in working process, I think that slightly said it isn’t good to be absent from the country so massively.
Let me remind you that this was one of the directions and demands of the activity of our initiative. These days we’ll invite conference and clarify our 26future steps and actions, which refer to all spheres and directions of Ruben Hayrapetyan’s activity. Such a criminal advocate of morality should undergo public reproach and bear the responsibility for what had happened. This will also be a precedent to change the atmosphere of impunity in our country.
-How would you evaluate involvement and activeness of political forces in the initiative of convening an extraordinary session?
-As you know, just 21 deputies joined the initiative, which is just a shame, as far as such a request and demand which has such publicity was less highlighted by few number of NA MPs. Coalition didn’t respond, moreover ARP MPs and amateurs of the style of their actions of their party enthusiastically defend Hayrapetyan and try to convince the public that he doesn’t have his part in this crime. I evaluate it as absence of readiness to hold a fair and transparent investigation. It proofs that the leading party has its political decision on this issue, which is beyond the legal level. NA PAP party which expressed readiness to join found a diplomatic way to pass this issue and declared that PAP members were away. So the activeness in not sufficient and full of different following conclusions.
-The way that the “We demand to punish all the culprits of Harsnaqar incident” initiative passed and the results of the work for the solution of the problem.
-I want to emphasize that it’s only under the public pressure that Ruben Hayrapetyan put down his deputy mandate; Harsnaqar incident is neither his first nor the last crime, in case if he won’t be fairly punished with all the strictness of law. This is our goal and we’ll do our best to find all ways to reach it.
