“Zhoghovurd”: Armenia Began to Export Coffee
Armenian Press
There is a remarkable fact in the report “RA foreign trade 2011” published by RA National Statistical Service: in 2011 Armenia has exported 1143 tons of coffee, coffee husk, coffee substitutes containing coffee in any proportion.
Of course, if Armenia were in Africa continent or South America, maybe that would be considered normal. But as far as there are no coffee trees in Armenia, this is incomprehensible.
Coffee is not the only weird exported product: there used to be some time when Armenia due to head of Justice Ministry's Service for the Mandatory Execution of Judicial Acts (SMEJA) Mihran Poghosyan and with his uncle former assistant director of NSS G.Grigoryan was exporting banana. Now coffee is to substitute banana.
