“Zhoghovurd”: Passport and Visa Department Refuses or Delays Applications of Citizens to Give New Passsports

These days, the Police Passport and Visa Department refuses (or at least delays) the application of the citizens of receiving new passports including children. They reason it by insufficient number of passports. But the newspaper got information that such instruction was given by the government not to give passports especially to children, to prevent parents from taking children out of the borders of RA.
It’s known, that at this season passports are needed to go abroad on vacation. Whereas the government instructed to do everything that people rested not in abroad where it’s comparatively cheap and comfortable, but in Armenia. In other words, they indirectly lead to spend astronomical amounts of money in resorts belonging to RA authorities. However this news was denied by the Police Information Department.
