In the interview with journalists, NKR presidential candidate Vitali Balasanyan’s pre-election campaign headquarter’s representative Hayk Khanumyan, spoke about post-election processes in Artsakh.
"During the campaign a process had started, that usually takes place in Artsakh:in the case of each critical article published in the press, special delegations were sent to meet the editors, and to convince them. As an example, the deans and the heads of scientific institutions demanded a response from the author-scientists of the support letter addressed to Vitali Balasanyan,” Hayk Khanumyan said.
According to him, during the last 5 years, an opponent force or press did not exist. And before that an opponent position had only ARF Artsakh structure. During these years many problems accumulated in the society that has not received solutions. And in case of raising these issues , they are immediately axed. As Hayk Khanumyan stated, Bako Sahakyan and his team have never entered into contact with people, and the suggestions have been perceived as crime.
“As a result of such operation, Artsakh has been included in the list of non- free countries, by the Freedom House in2010, about which I’ve been personally warning a year ago. Turns out that, because of Bako Sahakyan’s chosen path, Artsakh that was considered partially free in the past, appeared next to Azerbaijan, in the list of non-free countries. And the opinion of the international community formulates on it, and concerning to the president and the Minister of Foreign Affairs- they are competing with each other with announcements on surrendering the lands,” Hayk Khanumyan said, adding in the same time, that the 33% of voices is a base for Vitali Balasanyan for creating a political force. These are voices given only due to courage.
Hayk Khanumyan also said that Vitali Balasanyan made an announcement on creating a new political force, and the party's name and other issues are in the stage of for discussion and preparation.
