Prospects for Development of Oncology in RA: Minister of Economy

Medical studies are being greatly developed in Armenia. The proof of this are the works of founding “Armenian Center for Oncology Excellence” (ACOE) according to the state support project, within the frames of which at the end of 2012, in the center of production of radioisotopes , cyclotron and integrated equipment will be installed, which are purchased by the state for the needs of nuclear medicine.
With the complete operation of the project, Armenia will offer high quality service for diagnosing and treating cancer.
From March 30 to April 3, 2012, with the invitation of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA), Hayk Baqerjyan, the president of Global Medical Solutions LTD, which is famous in the field of nuclear medicine in the US. On April 2, with the participation of the RA Prime Minister, RA Ministers of Economy and Health and several other officials, a contract of cooperation in the field of nuclear medicine has been signed between the NCFA and the American Global Medical Solutions LTD company .
The company is registered as a legal ruling body of ACOE.
Moreover, meeting has been organized with a group of oncologists from France, during which the possible edges of further cooperation with ACOE have been discussed.
