Taron Margaryan Receives Asian Development Bank Representatives

Matters concerning Armenia’s sustainable urban development program were discussed during the meeting held between capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The aforesaid program envisions the construction of two road sections in Yerevan, the Municipality’s Information and Public Relations Department informs.
Mayor Margaryan stressed that the Project Implementation Office carried out structural changes to improve the program’s management quality.
“During the previous meeting, I had underscored the need to commence the implementation of the program at once, and I reconfirm yet again the priority of starting this program. We stand ready for an ongoing cooperation,” noted Taron Margaryan.
In his turn, ADB official Anand Chiplunkar noted that the Bank and Municipality working groups are carrying out intensive activities in this connection, and that the Mayor will be presented regular reports on the implementation course of the program.
“We are doing everything so that the consultant companies, which will win the international tender to be held in September, could commence the activities as soon as possible,” stated Anand Chiplunkar.
Also, the parties expressed a mutual readiness to provide operative solutions for the problems with reference to the implementation of the program.
