“Hraparak”: ARF will Support Hovsep Simonyan’s Candidacy in Elections of Gyumri Mayor

Shirak regional committee of ARF yesterday announced in which communities it’s going to nominate candidates at local elections of September 9: in 11 communities and in one community it’s going to support the non-party candidate. In the elections of mayor Hovsep Simonyan’s candidacy is going to be nominated.
The decision was made by the ARF Gyumri structure. Simonyan is the Deputy Head of financial department of the Shirak region; he’d also been nominated in elections of mayor in 2005, but later self-reported.
The newspaper reminds, that at this time the current mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan isn’t going to be nominated by the ARP. The candidate of the authority is PAP member Samvel Balasanyan.
