RA Universities Continue to Remain in the List of Large Taxpayers

State Revenue Committee has published the list of the first 1000 large taxpayers of January-June period of 2012, according to the amount of the paid taxes and tributes. Educational institutions, 15 universities and organizations providing educational services are also included in the list. The list of large taxpayers is headed by State Medical University after M.heratsy, which occupies the 109th place, the second is Yerevan State University (177th place), the third- State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan (272th place).
The list includes Armenian State Economic University, Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction, State Engineering University of Armenia, MoES National Institute of Education, American University of Armenia, State Agrarian University of Armenia, Yerevan Seminary -Educational Institution after A. Shirakatsy, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov, European Regional Academy, State Pedagogical Institute after H. Tumanyan in Vanadsor, and Northern University. In the first term of the current fiscal year, faithfully implementing their tax liabilities towards the state, the listed educational organizations paid a total of about 2 billion AMD to the state budget.
