Lawyers didn’t Show up to Get Acquainted with the Materials: Police Interprets

On July 25, 2012,Tigran Yegoryan and Lusine Hakobyan, the representatives of the successor of the victim, concerning the criminal case (it occurred on June 17, 2012, in the yard of “Harsnaqar” restaurant complex on Ajaryan 37, Yerevan city) which is being investigated at the investigative department of Especially Important Cases of Criminal Case Department of RA Police, submitted a request to the chief of the investigative group, formed concerning the case, with an appeal to present the respective lawsuit documents.
In response to the request, on July 27, 2012 respective notes have been sent to lawyers Lusine Hakobyan and Tigran Yegoryan, with which they have been invited to the Investigative department of EIC of CCD of RA Police on August 1, 2012, at 17.00, in order to get acquainted with the respective lawsuit documents and to receive the copies.
They didn’t attend the investigative department of EIC on August 1, 2012 at 17.00. In order to find out the reason of failing to attend, the chief of the investigative group called Tigran Yegoryan and Lusine Hakobyan -the representatives of the successor of the victim, at 17.44 and at 18.05 of the same day, but in both cases they did not respond to the phone calls and did not inform, in any way, the reason of their absence.
Instead, on the same day, hours after not attending the investigative department of EIC, and not responding to the phone calls of the investigator, Tigran Yegoryan and Lusine Hakobyan expressed their discontent to one of the mass media, that the investigating authority does not present the relevant materials, which does not correspond to reality.
