New Regulations to Meat-Meat Products and Milk-Dairy Producers

In order to increase the level of food security in RA, in the state Food Safety Service of Ministry of Agriculture, a meeting has been organized between the service and meat-meat products and milk-dairy producers.
Meat-meat products producers’ meeting has been attended by "Good Samaritan" LLC, "AR Delicates" LLC, "Bacon" LLC, "Natfood" CJSC, "Galstyans, Father and Son Ltd", "Erebuni Star" LLC, "Sos 97", Ltd, "Royalfood" LLC, "Bilyan" LLC organizations.
During the meeting it was clarified, that RA observes as meet-products only those of mentioned in the concepts of N 1560-N decision, accepted by RA government on October 19, 2006, thus, meat product is the kind of food, which consists of more than 60% meat and can include non-meat components.
Reference has been made to the question that the producer should determine a well-grounded expiry date, inferring from the sanitary conditions of the used meat, packaging materials and production. The economy-holders have also been informed, that from now on they should submit to the State Food Safety Service of RA MoA , grounds for the expiry dates of the products produced by them.
During the discussions it was noted that the raw materials of plant origin, which is used in meat production, should have an accompanying document, with information about genetically modified food.
It is also clarified for the economy-holders, that the periodicity of laboratory control over the products, should be in accordance with the respective subdivision of the Service, and the producer should determine strict control over the protection of the hygienic requirements presented to the organizations producing meat-meat products.
Milk-dairy producers’ meeting has been attended by "Bonilat" LLC, "Ashtarak Kat" CJSC, "Tamara and Ani" LLC, "Tamara" LLC, "Sis-Alp" LLC, "Daughter Marianna" LTD, "Chanakh" LLC, "Arzni family Arzni Pedigree Poultry-Swine-Cattle ojsc
"LLC," Multi Agro "Ltd," Elite Shant "LLC organizations.
The necessity of protecting the description accuracy and the expiry date of the product have been mentioned in the beginning of the meeting, particularly of ice-cream, inferring from the seasonal characteristics, concerning which the milk- dairy producers have also been informed from now on they should submit to the State Food Safety Service of RA MoA , grounds for the expiry dates of the products produced by them.
Issues concerning the presence of soda and hydrogen peroxide in milk have also been discussed. Reference has also been made to the issue of unique approach towards children's and special importance dairy.
It is also clarified for the economy-holders, that the periodicity of laboratory control over the products, should be in accordance with the respective subdivision of the Service, and the producer should determine strict control over the protection of the hygienic requirements presented to the organizations producing meat-meat products.
