Dismissal from Work as Cause of Death
Society
Yesterday “Hraparak” received a letter, which reads: "On August 1 of this year RA Minister of Culture gives an oral order to dismiss the deputy director of the Exhibition Center, who until then had faithfully fulfilled all her tasks. On August 1, at the end of the working day, not notifying her and making to work all day, violating the RA Labor Code, Karine was dismissed from work on August 1. Karine decided to apply to the court in order to protect her rights, but at the same night she fell into a deep coma, and not coming back to life died on August 5. According to the doctor, she reached that state because of suffering a strong stress (resulting in decrease of sugar in blood content ). Karine had been working in that institution for more than sixteen years and had a great experience, energy and knowledge. She was the deputy director of the center from the April of 2012. Her requiem ceremony will take place on August 7, on the 40th day of Vahe’s death. Irony of Fate?
Today Karine’s children are going to sue the Ministry of Culture and the Director of the Exhibition Center, for causing death to their mother by illegal actions. I would like to add that Karine has organized joint exhibitions. Employees of a number of museums knew and loved her,” the letter reads.
