Protest at Prosecutor’s Office

Protest was held today in front of the Prosecutor’s Office with the demand to justify and release Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, David Qiramijyan and Sargis Gevorgyan.

The initiative demands:

1. to justify the ANC four activists – Artak Karapetyan, david Qiramijyan, Tigran Arakelyan and Sargis Gevorgyan,
2. to release Tigran Arakelyan,
3. to punish the policemen, which executed violence towards their lawyers,
4. to subject to liability the policemen which gave false testimonies, and officials which impelled false testimony.

Another demand could be found among the demands of the initiative, i.e. shorten the criminal case against Vahagn Gevorgyan, Sahak Muradyan and Areg Gevorgyan, but this demand was removed, as RA Special Investigative Service decided to cease criminal prosecution with the basis “fulfillment of their participation in the crime is not proven”.
To note also, that protestants are going to be held continuously ever Friday until their demands are satisfied.
