Strong Earthquake on Armenian Border (Completed)

Not long ago, at 16.53, by Yerevan time, a 6.6-magnitude earthquake has occurred.
The earthquake occurred in north-west Iran, near Armenian border, 64 km east from Tabriz and 26 km south from Ahar. The coordinates are 38.24 N; 47.00 E.
The hypocenter of the earthquake is 15 km deep. The intensity of the earthquake amounted to 9 points in the hypocenter. The earthquake has also been registered in the territory of RA- 4-5 point in the towns of Agarak, Meghri, Qajaran, Kapan and Goris, and 3-4 points in Yerevan.
After-shakes occurred at 16.54 and 17.19, respectively with 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude.
According to the preliminary data of Iranian media, there are about 100 injured.
