Mourning Day in Iran in Memory of Victims of August 11 Earthquake

Authorities of Eastern Azearbaijan province of Iran August 13 and 14 declared mourning days in memory of the devastating earthquakes of August 11, reports RIA Novosti.
According to Reuters, on Sunday as a result of the evening earthquakes about 300 people died, 5000 are injured. The authorities of the province succeeded to find out the identity of only half of them, stating that locals being faithful to their muslim traditions, bury the died until sunset, not waiting for the Police to find out their identities.
To note, the main suferers of the earthquake are nearby areas of Tavriz city. On August 11 there were regiastered 2 earthquakes with 6,2 magnitude.
To note also, that devostating earthquakes are not seldom in Iran. They occur every year in seismic active regions of the country, among which more devastating are the earthquakes of 1990 and 2003, when accordingly 33 and 35 people died.
