Armenian PM, Government Officials Visit Syrian-Armenian Children (video)

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, accompanied with Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, deputy territorial administration minister Vache Terteryan and Syrian ambassador to Armenia visited today Lusabats camp in Armenia’s Hankavan where about 120 ethnic Armenian Syrian children from Damascus are having their summer rest.
The children have arrived in Armenia at the Government’s invitation and will stay here till August 23.
Welcoming the children, the PM conveyed the greetings of the Armenian President, saying that the issue of Syrian-Armenians is under his focus.
Tigran Sargsyan voiced assurances that the Armenian government will do everything to ease the cares of the Syrian-Armenians.
Ashot Avetisyan, director of the camp, said it is a good opportunity for Syrian-Armenian children to contact with the local children, improve their Armenian language skills.
This year the camp has already received 700 children in shifts, of which 120 are the children from Syria.
