Earthquake caused more than $400 million damage to Iran

According to preliminary calculations, last week’s earthquake caused more than 8 billion Iranian rial ($400 million) damage to Iran.
However, the authority of Eastern Azerbaijan province of Iran, where the earthquake occurred, announced that the total amount of the expected expenditure may increase for several times.
Note, that on August 11, at first 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit in the city of Ahar, and soon it was followed by a 6.3 magnitude one, shaking Haris and Varzaghan. These 2 earthquakes were followed by more than 5 aftershocks, and the intensity of some amounted to 4 magnitude. As a result of the earthquake, 306 died, and about 2000 have been injured.
