U.S. President Barack Obama has created a mini beer brewery in the White House, Reuters reports. Obama’s this preference became known during his pre-election campaign visit to Iowa State, when the U.S. current president presented a bottle of self-produced beer the owner of a café.
Obama's gift brought up much interest among journalists that the U.S. president's press service had to issue a special message on the beer workshop of Obama. As the U.S. president's press secretary Jay Carney reported, the beer produced by the president’s family bares the White House Honey Ale name. There are dark and light types of the beer. Note, that the beer workshop uses the honey of the bee bred by Michelle Obama at the White House.
White House press secretary refused to give any other details on Obama’s beer, mentioning: "When I’m offered a beer, I do not ask how it was prepared, I just drink it."
