Vano Siradeghyan denies the news on his death (photo)

The newspaper published the letter received from Vano Siradeghyan, by which he denied the publication of the newspaper that he’s dead.
“This is one of the unique cases when the denial of our information brings us joy”, states the newspaper editor.
Here is the complete letter of Vano Siradeghyan to “Hraparak” Daily:
“Ms editor-in-chief, I don’t want to believe that you think of me so bad and suspect my ability to find some way to let my relatives know if something happens. I understand that the newspaper pursues its interest, has its seduction, but you made me break my silence (of 5 not of 2 years as the newspaper reports) with the only and utmost way. Thus, the reproach of letter to you for underestimating me, and clarification for my friends.
In general, I strive to isolate myself from the events of Armenia. Especially, the political ones. Especially, recent years. To a degree, that during these 12 years and a half I haven’t watched a single Armenian TV channel, if not count the rare cases when changing the channel I carelessly click on the Armenian one and immediately change it. If we add all those moments, believe me it won’t reach to two minutes in 12 years.
It’s not an issue to be offended but out of hygienic considerations I don’t watch Russian channels either. Maybe it’s due to this that I’m a “long lived”. It’s an opportunity to speak on signature gathering. With the first drive I sent them a letter entitled “Stop it”, but in the morning I tore the paper realizing that such reaction isn’t fair towards my friends and even a thankless attitude even towards one that signs. For me the fact of the event being humiliating has no significance.
What do I think about my return? Eight years ago I was thinking one thing, and now, I just don’t think at all. Anyhow I’ll be back to Armenia, but I hope, in such a way that I didn’t see political, social, moral destructions which our country has undergone during my absence.
You won’t believe, but even for this case I cared that my contact with Yerevan was reached to a minimum.”
