Rescuers disassembled the meat grinder’s cast and freed the child’s hand
Emergency Case
Armenia’s Emergency Situations Ministry received a call, on August 15 at 1:36pm, informing that capital city Yerevan resident Inna Shirinyan’s fingers were stuck in a non-factory-made meat grinder.
Medical assistance was needed, the Ministry’s press service informs.
A special rescue squad was dispatched to the scene. At 1:54pm, an ambulance service team, accompanied by the rescuers, transferred the eleven-year old girl to Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, at first, and subsequently to the Microsurgery Department at Heratsi University Hospital.
At the surgery room, the rescuers disassembled the meat grinder’s cast and freed the child’s hand.
