South African Police to open fire on protestants

In South Africa the Police opened fire on a few thousands of mine workers’ group, which demanded salary rise, reports BBC.
According to some information, there are 18 dead bodies in Lonmin’s mine, which is to the north-west to Johannesburg.
According to the claims of an eyewitness, the Police at first tried to disperse the protestants by tear gas. Then they had to open fire on them.
To note, 10 people, including two policemen died as a result of the turmoil which has lasted for a week.
