Young couple died in a car crash, their 2 children are in hospital

Today, on August 17, car accident occurred in the region of Gegharkunik. At about 07.00 am, the driver of Opel vehicle,10 SO 129 - 31-year-old Sevak Baghdasaryan, resident of Tsovagyugh, Gegharkunik region, went out of the traffic zone on the 53rd km of Yerevan-Ijevan road and crashed NKR resident, 47-year-old Baris Mejlumyan’s Kamaz 55-11 vehicle,141 UL 41 , parked out of the traffic zone.
As photo-journalist Gagik Shamshyan reported from the scene, the driver and the passenger- Tsovagyugh resident, 29-year-old Marine Badalyan died. Tsovagyugh resident, 21-year-old David Avetisyan has been moved to Hrazdan hospital; 9-year-old Mher Baghdasaryan and 1 year and 8 months old Artsrun Baghdasaryan have been moved to Sevan hospital.
People gathered at the scene told the photo-journalist, that the driver of Kamaz 55-11 and the people with him took out of the car the dead and the injured. After taking the injured out of the car, they called the ambulance and Police.
They told the photo-journalist, that the ambulance reached the scene very late and until their arrival, that spouses were already dead. The operative group of Police Sevan Department arrived shortly after, headed by Sevan Chief of Police Vigen Aghekyan. David Avagyan, the deputy commander of the 2nd battalion of Police and the officers of the 4th unit of the 2nd battalion of Trafffic Police, headed by Sergey Hakobyan, also arrived at the scene.
At the scene the investigation was led by Aram Martirosyan, the investigator of Sevan Investigative Department of Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Division of the Chief Department of Police Investigation. With the investigator’s order the cars are being moved to the special observance area of Police Sevan Department.
G. Shamshyan reports, that the gathered at the scene told, that if the ambulance arrived at the scene in time, it would be possible to save the lives of the citizens, who, according to the gathered people, were spouses.
