Armenian citizen killed in Sudan air crash

A citizen of Armenia killed in Sudan air crash has been identified as 42-year-old Armen Virabyan, spokesperson for Armenian MFA Tigran Balayan told Lurer.com.
To note, citizens of Armenia, Russia, and Tajikistan have lost their lives in the plane crash that occurred in Sudan on August 19 at the mountains nearby Talodi, RIA Novosti reports.
The air crash occurred on Sunday not far from the capital of Sudan. An-26 plane, which belongs to private Sudan “Alfa” airline, crashed on August 19 while landing.
“According to RF Embassy, there are also crew members among the killed, including citizens of RF, Armenia and Tajikistan,” reads the message published by RF MFA.
Russian Foreign Ministry said 31 people have lost their lives in the plane crash, including Minister of Religious Affairs of Sudan Gazi al Sadi, Ministers of sports and youth affairs and Tourism, as well as a few political and military figures.
