Robert Kocharyan can’t instruct PAP any more: Naira Zohrabyan

Today one of the newspapers reported that a new president candidate name is circulating in political circles recently. “Internal political consensus can be developed between PAP and ANC around his candidacy. Karen Karapetyan is Robert Kocharyan’s wife’s Bella Kocharyan’s friend and at the same time Robert Kocharyan’s remote relative. But not only the kinship ties unite Karapetyan and Kocharyan, they are representatives of the same political team, So, Karapetyan is the best candidate for the president, and with his instruction PAP will readily support Karapetyan’s candidacy.”
Then the newspaper continues: “His candidacy is also attractive for ANC, which recently unconditionally devoted to PAP. First, if any PAP was nominated for the president, that could be rather hard for ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan to convince his devotees to support member of other party, no matter how hard Ter-Petrosyan will try to convince that PAP has devoted itself to struggle against the regime. But in case of Karen Karapetyan the situation is quite different – he is non-party and can’t be the candidate neither of PAP nor of ANC.”

Head of the office of former President Robert Kocharyan, Viktor Soghomonyan said in this regard: “I don’t want to comment brain drills.”
