Syrian businessmen are free of SRC inspections within a year
Economy
A few days ago, Syrian businessmen had raised a protest concerning the current legislative and tax fields in Armenia. According to them, it would be better if the government would grant them some privileges in the import of the required equipment for the production, freed from taxes, etc. They also stressed, that there are unequal competitive conditions in Armenia, nobody works according to the international business rules, there are no contractual, legal relations, there is only an oral speech.
In order to receive clarifications on these discontents 168.am turned to RA Ministry of Diaspora. In response to our question, to what extent does the Ministry support Syrian-Armenian businessmen in doing business in Armenia, Firdusi Zaqaryan, the head of the RA Ministry of Diaspora staff replied: “Just yesterday a meeting was held, during which the State Revenue Committee representative Karen Beglaryan stated that whatever has happened up to now, even complaints, has happened because of the Diaspora Armenians’ unawareness of the law."
He also added that yesterday's meeting has developed a position, according to which, within a year Syrian-Armenian businessmen will not be subjected to inspections by SRC, so that they can expand their business, if their discontent is in it.
"We approach each problem individually, that’s why sometimes the noise raised by a person or two is so loud, that even the success of a businessman, who has made a successful contribution, or just the success of a Diaspora representative is overshadowed. An individual approach should always be applied, each case should be discussed,” said F. Zaqaryan.
