France to host the exhibition of Picasso's biggest work
Science and culture
Georges Pompidou National Center of Art and Culture will display the biggest work of Pablo Picasso in the frames of exhibition headlined “1917”. The exhibition will feature 800 works of 350 artists.
Picasso’s scenery(170 square meters and 45 kg) decorated the ballet “Parade” authorized by Leonid Myasin and Jean Kokto. The ballet has been held in the frames of Sergei Dyagilev’s “Russian Seasons”.
The scenery made for “Parade” is one of Picasso’s most important works. Unlike contemporaries, the master has bypassed modern cubism and denied military motives.
The exhibition will last until September 24 of 2012.
