Spitak Mayor doesn’t follow the court’s verdict
Armenia
With the decision made on December 30, 2010, RA Civil Court of Appeals, chaired by judges A. Kharatyan, K. Chilingaryan and A. Petrosyan, obliged Spitak City Hall to implement the obligations of the contract signed with Artak Hakobyan on 26.11.2002. In particular, with the decision of the court, the City Hall is to allocate a double-room apartment in compensation of the sold apartment on Al. Manukyan 21, town of Spitak.
According to the decision of the Court of Appeals, the protest of the defendant, Spitak City Hall (Mayor Gagik Sahakyan), against the 30.09.2010 verdict of the First Instance Court of Lori region, has been rejected.
However, the verdict of the court has not been followed by now.
In response to our inquiry, addressed to the Minister of RA Territorial Administration, Deputy PM Armen Gevorgyan, the reply, received from the Public Relations Department of the Ministry, reads, that decisions of courts are subject to accomplishment. On 21.08.2012 MTA also informed us with a letter, that “Fastinfo”’s inquiry has been addressed to Lori Regional Administrations, for studying the issue and presenting data on it.
At present the editorial has not received any response or clarification.
