With the initiative of the Youth Union of PAP, under the auspices of the PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, the first Eurasian Youth Conference is being held in Tsaghkadzor, from Aughst 22 to 27.
Lurer.com talked about this to RA NA MP, PAP spokesman Tigran Urikhanyan, who also participates in the discussions during the conference.
"The goal of the discussion is to launch a close cooperation of a new format with the participant countries, in all areas - economic, political, cultural, etc. It’s necessary to develop and strengthen relationships and even make them friendly,” he said and added, that discussions on the project of Eurasian integration have been carried out in Kazan, where the official announcement has welcomed the idea of developing and strengthening relationship between the participant countries, friendship of peoples and nations, exchange of experience, discussion and realization of new projects.”
Note, that the integration initiative is still on declarative level, and is under discussion. As the speaker mentioned, PAP highlights its own participation in the discussions, in order to promote our concerns and push forward the interests of the Republic of Armenia, the desires of our citizens, and to understand the thesis and our realistic benefit in the proposed contracts.
"When the documents are ready, we will review them and try to make changes, we will make our suggestions, and afterwards we’ll speak about our desire to join the integration project (yet no word about it confederative state). PAP Youth Union initiative pursues the mentioned aim. By the way, Georgia’s participation in events of such format is a rare phenomenon,” said Urikhanyan.
And in response to the question of whether the Eurasian Union will make Armenia politically dependent or not, the latter replied: "As long as there are no provisions of the contracts, I cannot tell what quality union will be, what countries will it include, as well as its impact.”
Note also, that the Republican Party delegation has also participated in the discussion held in Kazan, where the party vice-president Eduard Sharmazanov, in his turn, welcomed the idea.
