Armenian Genocide in French textbooks

France’s President Francois Oland’s staff realized former President Nikolas Sarkozy’s initiative to allot a whole chapter to Armenian Genocide of 1915 in History and Geography textbooks for the third grade, reports Azdak daily newspaper.
To note, the issue of Armenian Genocide has been studied in French Universities through the subject “World History.”
Note also, that Turkey’s Ministry of Education and Science appeared with an announcement, stating that it won’t dispute the decision of French Government only in case if it doesn’t find any discreditable expression in “Armenian Genocide” section of the textbook.
