Karapet Israyelyan announces self-rejection

As Lurer.com reported earlier, candidate nomination process for local self-government elections of September 23 in Kotayk Region was over on August 24.
Four candidates have been nominated in Abovyan City: current mayor Karapet Guloyan nominated by PAP, self-nominated PAP member Karapet Israyelyan, non-party Artashes Mehrabyan and Andranik Petrosyan. Now only three candidates will take part in the competition.
According to the information of Lurer.com, today Karapet Israyelyan presented an application for self-rejection, not willing to compete with the current mayor.
To note, Karapet Guloyan is PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s son-in-law, and Karapet Israyelyan is the former mayor of Abovyan City.
