Serzh Sargsyan didn’t participate in Iranian summit

At the summit of Non-Aligned Movement which is to be held in Tehran on August 26 RA delegation will be chaired by MFA Eduard Nalbandyan, MFA press speaker Tigran Balayan told Lurer.com.
Note, there were suppositions before, that RA President is going to participate in the Iranian summit. With its publication Lurer.com suspected appropriateness of participation of RA President in the Iranian summit, so it occurred.
The Non-Aligned Movement summit began on August 2 and will last till August 31.
To note, the USA called the state heads and the UNO Secretary General not to take part in the summit. Non-Aligned Movement was formed in 1961 by the offer of President of Yugoslavia Tito and on the basis was pursuing two goals: struggle against colonialism and struggle against military alliances. Member countries of the Movement united against the influence of Cold War countries – the USA and Russia.
According to some experts after the collapse of the Soviet Union Non-Aligned Movement has consumed itself, though the organization reinterpreted its aims and has focused on globalization, trade and investments, international terror and other problems.
