UN Secretary General arrives in Tehran

UN Secretary General Ban Ki -moon arrived in the capital of Iran to attend the summit of "Non-Aligned Movement" nations. Upon the arrival in Tehran, he said that he has the intention to negotiate the conflicts in Syria with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahamadinejad and Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He also noted that Iran has a very important role in the region,- reports radio Freedom.
Tehran is Damascus’s retainer and does not support the Western policy on Syrian conflict.
Ban Ki-moon, who, as UN Secretary General, visits Tehran for the first time, is also to raise in the discussion issues related to the Iranian nuclear weapons.
