On August 29 of this year, near the Kayan settlement of Tavush region, regular monitoring on Armenian-Azerbaijani border has been held by the office of the personal representative of OSCE current chairman.
Irje Aberle and Peter Key, field-assistants of the representative of OSCE current chairman, have participated in the monitoring from the Armenian side. Prior to the monitoring, the situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the statistics of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijani armed forces, issues concerning the actions of snipers on the border have been presented to the OSCE officials. The monitoring has been conducted at a certain distance from the border. Azerbaijani side once again rejected Armenians’ proposal of crossing the border and conducting direct monitoring.
