Forage resources are sufficient: RA Ministry of Agriculture
Economy
The topic of forage deficiency and hardships connected with it is being artificially and systematically abused by the media, in response to which RA Ministry of Agriculture reports, that because of adverse weather conditions, separate communities of the Republic have some hardships with forage accumulation. Syunik, Armavir, Ararat, Gegharkunik and Vayts Dzor regions, as well as Nagorno Karabagh have abundant grass, and, in addition to satisfying local requirements, its sale to the neighboring communities is also possible. It’s the first time when the haulm of the reaped fields is being completely gathered. Agricultural farms have been allowed to gather the grass of forest areas without restrictions, obstacles and for free of charge. The Republic is fully backed with forage and the forage prices have even decreased in recent weeks.
Based on the foregoing, RA Ministry of Agriculture declares with confidence that the circulating rumors of the sharp decline in livestock, related to the deficiency of forage, the obligatory slaughter, reduction of indicators, achieved in animal husbandry, the grass exports from Armenia, as well as the sharp increase in forage price, are groundless misinformation.
RA Ministry of Agriculture is urging the farms and farmers, to seek the responses to all the questions relating to agriculture in the professional analysis, publications and data of Ministry of Agriculture, and refrain from questionable, misleading, and sometimes even deliberately publications.
Note that a few days ago Lurer.com referred to the same topic, by interviewing with residents and leaders of rural communities, who confirmed the existence of high price and forage deficiency, in facts.
