French president wasn’t aware?

As Hurriyet reports, the supposed inclusion of Armenian Genocide into French history textbooks was made without informing the French President Francois Oland. "The President has not given any instructions for this new decision," Hurriyet reported to Oland at the 20th annual conference of ambassadors in Paris. "I do not know about this experiment, I'm completely unaware of it. The changes in textbooks have been implemented by the committee. The decision is not mine, but I’ll ask and learn where the decision comes from, and will inform you,” said Oland. "The research has been conducted by the French Ministry of Education for many years, but diplomacy has never been included in this issue,” the French Ambassador to Turkey Laurent Bili, reported to Hurriyet, also pointing out that it was not a surprise.
