NSS finds out the problem of family, which was denied entry to Armenia

These days information was spread that at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport a Syrian-Armenian family of eight was denied entry to the country.
In reality, these people are Assyrians and they attempted to cross Armenia’s national border without specified documents and proper authorization, NSS Press Secretary Artsvin Baghramyan told in an interview with Armenpress reporter. He also informed that they sought to use Armenia as a transit country and head to a third country, with assistance by an organizer of illegal immigration. “Prior to their arrival in Armenia, their attempt to head toward Europe via Istanbul was unsuccessful. These citizens of Syria were returned to the country they arrived from, that is, Turkey, via the Yerevan-Istanbul flight,” Baghramyan said.
