RPA gives its candidates the opportunity to compete freely: Eduard Sharmazanov

A while ago meeting of RPA executive body was over, which was chaired by chairman of RPA executive body Serzh Sargsyan.
After the meeting RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov in an interview with reporters noted, that inter-party issues have been discussed at the meeting.
According to him issues on local self-government elections have been discussed. Sharmazanov notes, that these elections are important for them by the fact that they should be free, fair and transparent: “Local self-government elections are also important for RPA, as presidential elections are to follow.”
Sharmazanov also stated, that at the places where a few candidates have been nominated by RPA, the party gives them the opportunity to compete freely and doesn’t support anyone.
Touching upon Kapan City current mayor, ARF member Artur Atayan’s self-rejection he said, in his opinion Atayan considered he had less probability than the RPA candidate that’s why he receded from elections.
Sharmazanov also noted, that they used to support Atayan.
Turning to the fact, that ARF member Atayan stated, that he’s been blackmailed and that’s why he refused to compete, RPA spokesman told there are appropriate law enforcement officials for this purpose: “Current mayor can apply to them and not just make statements.”
Note also, that after the meeting RA MP Tigran Sargsyan and NA President Hovik Abrahamyan were discussing something.
