“Hraparak”: Stepan Demirchyan ANC candidate for the President?

ANC can surprise the Armenian society before presidential elections and nominate a man, whose name hasn’t been circulated yet. The speech is about Stepan Demirchyan.
The newspaper reminds, as reported earlier, some considerable part of ANC wants Levon Ter-Petrosyan to be nominated for the President, considering it to be the only opportunity for the ANC to survive. It seems that Levon Ter-Petrosyan doesn’t intend to give way to those pressures and realizes how the results will be different from those of 2008 and it’s hard to believe that he’ll be nominated only for the purpose that some people had the opportunity to give interviews or make statements in name of the Congress.
According to the information of the newspaper, in these conditions ATP head Stepan Demirchyan became rather active, which was in private visit to Moscow and is back rather enthusiastic. Representatives of his circle say that he was assured there that he’ll be the ANC candidate for the president and promised to provide with appropriate material and political support.
Russians like to support simultaneously representatives of opposition and authority. The newspaper sources assure, that being a rather delicate person Demirchyan would have left the ANC if not the perspective of ANC candidate for the president.
