Azerbaijan deceives "naive" Hungary: the letter of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice

The official letter of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice addressed to the Hungarian Ministry of Justice has appeared on the web. It is clear from the letter, that Azerbaijan has broken its promise to Hungary. Deputy Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan, Vilayat Zahirov has noted in the letter, that in accordance with Article 57.3 of the Criminal Code of his country, a convict who is serving a life sentence may be granted pardon only after he has served at least twenty five years of his sentence.
According to the letter, Safarov, who has spent 6 years in the prison of Hungary, had to continue serving his sentence in Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijani laws.
To remind you, on February 19 of 2004, Azerbaijani felon Ramil Safarov axed Armenian military officer Gurgen Margaryan while sleeping. In the capital of Hungary officers were participating in English language courses within the frames of NATO’s Peace and Partnership program. Hungary’s court sentenced Ramil Safarov to life in prison without pardon in the period of the first 30 years. The Azerbaijani murderer, recognized as “hero”, has also been granted the rank of Major, an apartment and monetary compensation.
