Russia’s MFA condemns steps of Azerbaijan and Hungary
Russia
Below is Russia’s MFA’s official representative Alexander Lukashevich’s announcement:
“Russia, as OSCE Minsk group co-chair country of NKR conflict, received with deep concern the information of pardoning Azerbaijan’s officer Ramil Safarov which was sentenced to life in prison in Hungary in 2004 and Hungary’s step to extradite him to Azerbaijan’s state agencies.”
“We consider actions of both Azerbaijan and Hungary contradict efforts which have been coordinated due to OSCE Minsk group’s work and directed to weakening tension in the region. We expect OSCE Minsk group’s co-chairs to give appropriate estimation to the created situation,” Lukashevich said.
