"Haykakan Zhamanak": EU’s verdict will refer to the March 1 events

Before September 11, RA government is to answer European Court’s three enquiries, which have been submitted on February 19 of 2008, within the frames of application review on presidential elections held on February 19, 2008,- Vahe Grigoryan, the lawyer of the plaintiff in the European Court, RA first president, presidential candidate in the presidential elections 2008 Levon Ter-petrosyan, said in the interview with the reporter of “Haykakan Zhamanak”.
The European Court has accepted the application for partial review. Particularly, European Court’s first inquiry addressed to the government regards the restriction over presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s personal freedom and the right to move in the days of strike in 2008. The second inquiry relates to the restriction over the freedom of meetings held from February 20 to march 1, 1008 anf the legality of dispersing the meeting. The third inquiry as well concerns the March 1; it relates to Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s home detention on the very day.
In a nutshell, concerning this case, European Court’s verdict is to refer to the March 1 events.
