According to Ban Ki-moon SC “stroke causes pain to Syrian nation”, as well as weakens trust towards the SC.
“We can’t keep apart, when violence is over control and crisis exceeds limits of Syria,” UNO Secretary General announced, reports Agence France-Presse.
Ban Ki-moon assured that at the moment states which have considerable influence in SC should take measures to find way to political solution of the crisis.
In 2001 uprising began against Bashar Asaad, which later turned into a civil war. According to law enforcement officers more than 24 thousand people became victims of the crisis, about 1.2 million people turned into refugees.
UNO SC tried to accept resolution in connection with Syria’s conflict, but they failed. The projects which were suggested by the West have been rejected by veto by Russia and China, and suggestions of those countries weren’t supported by Europe and the USA.
