CEC to distribute positions

In today’s extraordinary session, the RA Central Election Commission by drawing lots via automated system, distributed the positions of Chairmen of the Precinct Election Commissions and secretaries of the elections to local self-government bodies, to take place in 13 communities on September 30, 2012, between the NA factions and party alliances. The positions of the Chairmen of the Precinct Election Commissions and secretaries have been distributed in the following proportion:
Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), -5
"Prosperous Armenia" party (PAP)- 4
Party alliance of “Armenian National Congress” (ANC)-1
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF)-1
"Rule of Law" party (RoL)- 1
"Heritage" party-1
On the extraordinary session, the RA Central Election Commission has also discussed the application of former candidate for the head of Azatan community, Hovhannes Papoyan. On August 8 of 2012, citizen Hovhannes Papoyan has submitted an application to the Ombudsman on, who, on September 3 of 2012, has redirected the application to the Central Election Commission.
After the discussion, the Central Election Commission has made a decision, to cut the administrative proceedings concerning Hovhannes Papoyan’s 18.08.2012 application, because Hovhannes Papoyan has submitted a self-rejection application to the electoral commission on August 28 of 2012, and by the August 29, 2012 decision of Electoral Commission , his registration has been recognized as revoked.
