John Baird: “Iranian regime as the most significant threat to global peace and security”

Canada has suspended its diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Canadian Embassy in Iran has already been closed. Iranian diplomats are to leave Ottawa in the coming days, reports ITAR-TASS, referring to Canada's Foreign Minister John Baird’s statement.
“Diplomatic relations between Canada and Iran have been suspended. All Canadian diplomatic staff have left Iran, and Iranian diplomats in Ottawa have been instructed to leave within five days. Our position with respect to the Iranian regime is clear. We view it as the most significant threat to global peace and security in the world today," said the Minister in his written statement.
