“You lost Karabakh only because you were under communism yoke”: Gérard Depardieu

“Soviet Union choked you – Azeris. You found yourself only after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when Heidar Aliyev came,” famous actor Gérard Depardieu told in an interview with Vesti.az, which is currently in Baku, to take part in shooting of a new documentary.
“You’ve been donating oil to the Soviet Union for 70 years and lost Karabakh only for the reason, that you were under the yoke of communism. But now you’re free. And it’s great hat you are now next to Georgia,” he said.
