Showroom staff fight off bike raiders

Hero staff fought off six armed raiders at a motorbike showroom – forcing the robbers to flee empty-handed.
Shop manager said his first thought when he confronted the raiders was: “I’m not going to stand for this.”
The 29-year-old's In Moto showroom in Croydon had been targeted three times in the last few years and that he said he had “had enough”.
The dad-of-two shoved one of the raiders off his bike twice, stood face-to-face with another wielding an iron bar and grappled a third one in a headlock during the botched raid last week.
He was joined by staff Paul Read and Read’s 17-year-old son Tay, as well as two workers from a nearby garage who helped to fend off the raiders, The Daily Mail reports.
“He stopped them wheeling off two Ducati Panigale bikes and then we had to deal with all six of them outside.
“The first thing I thought when I saw them was ’I’m not going to stand for this.
“If I had let them get away with it they would have been back next week and the week after and I just thought ’enough is enough’.
“I didn’t think about it – I just went at them like a bull in a china shop.
“They needed to be taught a lesson and all of us - all five of us - taught them they can’t mess with us.
“If they come back they’ll get the same treatment.”
