Police responds to Hayrapetyan’s threats

In the interview given to “Nouvelles d’Armenie” a few days ago Ruben Hayrapetyan threatened “Vahe Avetyan” social movement initiative group members Garegin Chugaszyan, Hranush kharatyan and “We demand to punish all the culprits of Harsnakar incident” civil initiative member David Sanasaryan: “Now they’ll see what is called to threaten. Their families will suffer from me. They will get diabetes. They’ll be afraid of me until their death. I will openly say that.”
Lurer.com talked to head of Police Information and Public Relations Department Ashot Aharonyan:
In connection with the above mentioned publications we inform, that:
1. According to Part I, of Article 137 of RA Criminal Code - the threat to murder, to inflict heavy damage to one’s health or to destroy property of big volume, provided there was real danger that this threat would be carried out
2. According to Part 1 of Article 183 of RA Criminal Code – criminal case is launched based on the complaint of the sufferer.
RA Police didn’t receive any complaint on the above mentioned issue. At the same time, it’s worth mentioning, that threat should be concrete, and the danger to realize that real, and the crime is absent in all cases, when threats are pronounced indirectly during the conflict, at the moment of rage and don’t have a concrete addressee.”
