“168 Hours”: RPA suggested and PAP nominated

Replying to the newspaper’s question whether Gyumri’s elected mayor PAP member Samvel Balasanyan is RPA’s or PAP’s candidate, NA RPA vice-president Edard Sharmazanov replied: “Samvel Balasanyan is a PAP member and PAP leading group member. PAP isn’t an alien party to us, is not an enemy and opposition party to us. Samvel Balasanyan was suggested by Serzh Sargsyan, and nominated PAP. That is to say we suggested, they nominated.”
The newspaper reminds that before the elections RA President Serzh Sargsyan during his working visit to Shirak Region confirmed that he suggested Samvel Balasanyan to be nominated for mayor elections.
