According to United Nations calendar, September 15 is celebrated as the International Day Democracy. This year's topic is "Education in Democracy."
United Nations General Assembly adopted the decision on the Proclamation of the International Day on November 8 of 2007. All 7 member countries of the Organization were called to focus attention on democracy and human rights. This decision assists governments to promote and strengthen the national projects devoted to democracy.
